Highlands Church

Outreach

It's All About Giving! Our people, and their efforts, make us a strong church. We give because we care. More than $25,000 was raised through various fundraisers, such as the Homes Tour and Cookie Walk. Additionally, private funding and goods were added by members. Where does the money go? It goes toward several worthy projects and organizations, including UMCOR, Golden Cross, Philander Smith College, UM Children's Home, University of Arkansas Wesley Foundation, Gravette School Programs, Alzheimer's Association, Seminary Scholarships, Care & Share Store, NWA Children's Shelter, Biloxi Mission, Youth Bridge, Salvation Army, Camp Aldersgate, Women's Shelter, Operation Gratitude (Iraq), Gravette Family, Angel Tree, Chile Mission, VA Chapel Fund and Buy Me A Book (Gravette Schools).

Perhaps more importantly is the labor donated to help serve our fellow man.  The church offers services at Concordia Nursing Home and Village House, Alzheimer Walkers, Habitat for Humanity Workers, Care & Share Store, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army Kettle, NWA Children's Shelter, Angel Tree, Read To Me School Program, Biloxi Mission Trips and UMW and HUMMER Projects.

The entire program and organization of United Methodist Women focuses on mission. All women members of Highlands Church and their guests are welcome. Continental breakfast meetings are at 9:30 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the church's Fellowship Hall. UMW offers reading programs, book clubs, golfing leagues and regular outings and events.
